Government of Gujarat has started Study Center for Civil Services Examination in 1992 named SPIPA. This organization teaching students who want to join Civil Services (IAS / IPS / IFS / and other Group 1 - 2 services).

Student must passed the entrance exam to join this study center. SPIPA announce this entrance test on May or June month of every year.

  • Educational Qualification: Graduate
  • Age limit: 21 to 30 (General), 21 to 33 (SEBC), 21 to 35 (SC/ST)
  • Mother Tongue: Gujarati
  • Coaching Fee:

Syllabus for SPIPA Entrance Test

G.S. Paper: 1 (Two Hours: 150 Marks)

  • Current events of national and international importance
  • History of India and Indian National Movement
  • Indian and World Geography - Physical, Social, Economic geography of India and the World.
  • Indian Polity and Governance – Constitution, Political System, Panchayati Raj, Public Policy, Rights Issues, etc. 
  • Economic and Social Development – Sustainable Development, Poverty, Inclusion, Demographics, Social Sector Initiatives, etc.
  • General issues on Environmental ecology, Bio-diversity and Climate Change - that do not require subject specialization 
  • General Science.

G.S. Paper: 2 (Two Hours: 150 Marks)

  • Comprehension
  • Interpersonal skills including communication skills
  • Logical reasoning and analytical ability
  • Decision making and problem solving 
  • General mental ability
  • Basic numeracy (numbers and their relations, orders of magnitude etc...) (Class X level), Data interpretation (charts, graphs, tables, data sufficiency etc... - Class X level) 
  • English Language Comprehension skills (Class X level)a

Paper 1 and Paper 2 important stage. If you clear both paper you will be called for Essay writing test and personal interview. You will get admission as per your final Merit List.
